Instagram Hashtags: 4 Tools to Find the Best Ones

Updated on 26th September 2023.

Instagram hashtags are a very important strategy for the growth of brands or personal profiles on the platform. And yet they are an effective way to get more attention (and involvement!) in your Instagram posts. This is no secret to anyone!

Using relevant and targeted hashtags in your posts and stories is one of the best ways to be discovered by new audiences on Instagram. And that can bring more engagement, more followers, and more customers for your business.

But for the strategy to really work, it’s essential to map the best hashtags to your audience or niche you want to post. Filling your post with countless random hashtags, rather than helping elevate your brand or profile, can end up getting in the way.

This is because a huge amount, millions of content, is published and tagged. How do you make your content stand out among all other topics? It’s simple! Continue reading to learn how to boost your content with hashtags.

Instagram Hashtags: 4 Tools to Find the Best Ones

The secret to whether hashtags are useful to your brand is to choose a small number of relevant hashtags. I’ve selected here the 4 best tools to help you find the best ones. See below what they are and what they do.

1. Tag O’ Matic

This app is my favourite of all time and I use it since 2012. I was unhappy for a while when I moved from android to iPhone years ago, in 2014. When they didn’t have the iPhone version yet.

What I love about this app is that it is super simple to use and displays hashtags related to keywords searched.

Functions like searching for related hashtags, saving favourites and seeing search history (paid version) are available in the app with up to 3 searches per day, if you use it for personal Instagram is super worth it, but if you don’t want to see Ads and want to have access to the history, just paying for the app, which here in England costs £1.99.

2. IQ Hashtags

More than just a hashtag search, IQ Hashtags brings more functions. A very simple “app” with very good functions and for free, such as profile analysis, banned hashtags, search for hashtags. In the image I highlight what you can use without paying, just signing up.

Registration is required on the platform to use all functions except to check banned hashtags.

To have quick access to this website, I add to home screen and then it will be together within the my apps. (you know we are able to save as many web page as we want on the home screen)

3. All Hashtags

The goal of the app is the same: find the best hashtags. But the difference of this application, is that it has a hashtag creator. That is, you can type or paste a text and it turns all words into tags. This function is ideal for those who need to make posts by mobile.

4. Top Hashtags

On this site you will also find a list of the best hashtags. You just need to enter the subject of your post and it presents you with the 11 most popular tags. In addition, this site also has the creator of hashtags. Saving those who make posts by mobile all the time have to change the # function on the keyboard.Just too much!
