Today I received a message that at the end said “Happy Blue Monday”… I was blind here because we don’t have this “special date” in Brazil. which takes place on the third monday of January. Well, after research I find out that the term “Happy Blue Monday” today is considered the most depressing day of the year, because of a combination of bad weather, long nights and the lingering aftermath of the festive glut.
All this started when a travel company released Blue Monday, the first such date was 24 January in 2005 as part of a press release. Since then the dates changed a bit and now is considered the third monday of January. I can imagine why as here in UK we don’t have holidays during week, it’s always friday or monday…
The concept about Blue Monday was created by Dr. Cliff Arnall, and he said he never intended to let the day be negative but simply encouraged others to make positive changes.
So, I always think positive and I am always committed to making things happen. The key is to think positive, work hard and make it happen!
I was very inspired by this whole story and I created a board on Pinterest with my point of view.
